Being a Grownup

Its funny how sometimes I don't feel like a grown up.  But every now and then I have an a-ha moment when I realize I am.

There is a plate full of fudge in my kitchen.  As a kid I would have eaten that whole thing if I was allowed to.  I'm the only one in charge now, so I am allowed to.  But I'm smart enough to know that will make me sick and not healthy.  Instead I ate some yummy lentils and had a large glass of water.  And then a piece of fudge.  :)

Yep, that's pretty much the definition of a grown up.

  1. Now THAT's will-power! I would have scraped that plate clean. Being an adult is not all it's cracked up to be, so I take my thrills where I cant get 'em...that includes eating entire plates of fudge, haha.

  2. So funny! I never feel like a grown up until the credit card bill comes in. Other than that, i'm pretty much a big kid. :)

    1. The grown up feeling is fleeting. Getting married, having kids, it doesn't really make me feel grown up. I'm still 16 in my mind :)
